SQUIRREL HANDS!
Why have I never seen this video before… it’s seven and a half shades of AWESOME!

My play on The Martian movie poster. Hat tip to cartoonist Jim Horvitz of Watson… who I totally ripped this idea off of
I posted about this on my Facebook page yesterday, but I feel it needs repeating here.
Both Wikipedia entries for Frank Page (cartoonist) and Bob the Squirrel (comic strip) have been deleted… for lack of references and discernible popularity.
I’m not disappointed, not irritated… just mystified.
Reasons for the Bob the Squirrel deletion (direct quotes):
“The series does appear to be mildly popular in that it has a dedicated fan base, but none of this translated into enough coverage for it to pass notability guidelines as a whole.”
Also (and I may have shot myself in the foot on this one): “Non-notable comic strip; in fact it boasts on its website that it is “the best daily comic strip no one has ever heard of.” That’s kind of the definition of “not notable”.
These comments can be found at the Wiki Articles for Deletion page located here.
I only found out about this when I needed a reference from the Bob the Squirrel Wikipedia page! I needed to see a chronological list of the Bob books… try to get to the page andit wasn’t there. A bit more digging led me to the deletion page… just wow. I didn’t even create the page to begin with…
I see the point. My work didn’t generate enough oomph to garner any external notable references in the world wide wonder. No references, no notability. It could just have been made up by me for some extra exposure, blah, blah, blah.
As I said yesterday, I get it, but I don’t get why I’m getting it. If a news story doesn’t have reliable sources, it’s not a reliable story.
It’s fine. Me and my dedicated fan base will keep on keeping on. If anyone needs to know something about the squirrel, they can just email me.
I’m not going to make a big deal out of this… after this post (and a week of comic strips) this will be dropped. I don’t want to spend a ton of time proving my strip’s worth… I’d much rather spend that time making the best Bob the Squirrel strip I can.
Rest assured internet, the Kim Kardashian Wiki page is well referenced and strictly maintained.
