365 ish days ago, I began a project called Instragram Bob 365.  Actually, back then, I called it Instabob 365.  Whatever it started as, it ended up as a year of getting ahead and falling back.  A Bob a day for a year… considering how much I draw, not a huge stretch per se.  At least that’s what I thought.

It turned out to be a blessing.  I got ideas for strips from some of these images I may have never had if Instagram Bob wasn’t happening.  It was fun.  It was an extra sketchbook in my bag every day.  It was an extra step in my daily process. It was an extra bit of time I needed to quiet down the manic-ness in my head.  It was a bit of a break.  It was all those things and probably a few things I haven’t thought of yet.

I’ve made it all available as a digital download.  Each page of my sketchbook was scanned in.  All the pimples, warts, bruises, mistakes and blemishes are there on the scan.  You may get more out of what I didn’t do than what I did.  I even like looking back and seeing the chaos.  The download is $8.00… a great price for nearly 100 pages of squirrels.

Hope you like it all collected together.  I’ll now take a break for a week or two while I think of what side project I’ll attempt next!  ENJOY!

I did a comic strip about turning 25 way back in 2000.

I was obviously a different person 15 years ago.  I liked this strip so much that I went so far as to get it put on a mug.  I was the only one who bought one.  I thought seeing this everyday would be motivation for me to succeed. 

It didn’t work (in the conventional sense anyway).  I put the mug on my desk and over the years filled it with the tools of my trade…swapping out what I did and didn’t use over a decade and a half.

A few days ago, I decided to update the story.  Time flies when you’re having fun.
