A fan commissioned this from me… for a very special reason:
“…I would love to order one with Bob saying “keep dancing” as that is my mantra these days…I was diagnosed with bladder cancer but am determined to beat it. ”
I sent her the half finished sketch this morning. I asked her if it was cool that I share it with everyone else…
I got a reply that made my day: ” It is more than I even expected. It made me cry!! Thank you Thank you! I absolutely love it and would be happy to share it with the other Bob fans out there. You create magic with your pen and ink and I am truly grateful. It captures exactly what I was wanting. Thank you so very much…honestly thank you! Don’t ever stop what you are doing. You bring joy to those of us who know and read about Bob, that lovable, cynical, laughable, crazy squirrel!

Frank, you’re an amazing artist with a GREAT sense of humor, and your work gets us through the grey days more than you can know! Your fans might be a rag tag bunch, but we’re loyal because we identify with Bob! There’s a bit of Bob in each of us, you just happy to be witty enough to draw it out of us (pun intended), and present it in an acceptable way! I’m not even sure how long I’ve been a fan/follower, but I depend on Bob now to help me get through my day! Much love, and Bravo man!
